The majority of the Rangers fans that answered our recent poll are keen for Steven Gerrard to target his former club once again and sign Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones on loan in January.
The 17-year-old was hugely impressive on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States in the summer, which led many to speculate whether the Scouse-born star would be given a chance in the first team during this campaign.
That is yet to happen though and with Liverpool already out of the Carabao Cup, Jones may not get his chance this season and a loan move could be the best bet for his development.
A creative central midfielder with two goals and one assist in nine U23 appearances so far this season, Jones would add quality to the Rangers ranks and would surely feel comfortable under Steven Gerrard, with whom he worked when the Liverpool legend was in charge of the club’s U18 team.
Check out the full results of our poll below, where 68 per cent of Rangers fans said that they would support a January loan move.
