Roberto Firmino has proven at Liverpool that being a striker is not all about goals.
Since arriving, he has never managed more than 15 in a Premier League season, and yet he is still Jurgen Klopp’s number one choice at Anfield. That is down to his ability to link-up with his teammates – he has at least seven assists in each top flight campaign since moving to the Premier League – and his work-rate, which has led to him being labelled as a man for all seasons.

Of course, given his performances for the Club World Cup champions, he is bound to be the subject of interest from across the globe. According to The Sun, one of those parties eyeing the 28-year-old is Bayern Munich. The report says they are preparing a £75m bid for the Brazil international.
As you can imagine, this has got the Liverpool supporters reacting in their droves, and they do not seem too happy with it. Many have questioned why he would decide to move to the Bundesliga champions – they see it as a step down.
This is an argument that could be used not just for Firmino, but for any player who is currently part of that squad. Bayern are a side with a history of success, but the Reds are the current European champions and are on course to win the Premier League title. Who would want to depart?
Other fans, meanwhile, believe that price needs to be an awful lot higher.
That potential sum would not even match his £81m Transfermarkt value, and even that would likely be some way off the Anfield outfit’s valuation of one of their star players. Bayern would likely need to part with an awful lot more to prise him away.
